Building a system to utilize springs in compression would be a pain in the butt. Piper and Cessna use springs in tension throughout their controls and sometimes springs break, that's why there are inspections and training for run-a-way trim. The Dragonfly, Q's EZ's and many others use the same trim spring system and it works great! I decided I would rather use a spring in tension than the RC model control pieces as per KR plans. Any ideas You have "HOT" on the circuitry plates... I'm assuming that this is that nifty flexible circut board thats behind the panel on my S10. How about a good Ground? You need 12V Across the light bulb for it to go on. This won't shock you too bad, but you can melt all kinds of stuff, so it's a good idea to be careful. One side of the circuit plate should be 12V, the other should be 0V. If you have one of those little light testers, one side should light up and the other should not. Stay tuned to hear my story of what melts when I hook up the electrical in my bird. I was up till 11:30 last night melting heat shrink on the firewall. Anyone want to remind me that solder connections are bad news due to vibration. I've put a solder splice in anyway, but covered it with layers of heat shrink to distribute the stress.
