It worked reasonably well to fill low spots. Lots of "Flock" material in the primer. However it is a polyester primer. (There are some possible issues with this depending on what topcoat you use). I used the Water Reducable paint (the name escapes me now), at any rate that primer doesn't work too well as a primer surfacer. At auto supply stores you will find primer surfacers and primer sealers. The surfacers have more material for build up of low spots. I understand that Pitts now has a "super fil" type product that I have heard rave reviews on KR-net... it's expensive, but I'm thinking that beats multiple coats, and sanding. -- Regards Ross John Weikel wrote: > > Don't auto paint shops sell a filler primer? Rick, that search facility has been on the Lyris web site since we switched to Lyris from majordomo some time in Dec '98. The older pre '98 archives don't have this search capability, but you can download them and search through them yourself if you want to take the time. I haven't had time to use the search facility, so it's nice to know it works! -- Regards Ross ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: Re: new web site From: Richard Parker Date: Wed, 23 Jun 1999 10:42:24 PDT X-Message-Number: 4 Its not friday but I couldnt wait to share this new web site I've made for work. http://www.pneutronics.com/area51 be sure to turn the volume up loud! Hope the extraterrestrial that was taking a bath is nice and clean. Have followed Mir for years with the STS program, very interesting! Also, looks like your area of interest/business is also very challenging. -- Adrian VE6AFY Mailto:cartera@cuug.ab.ca http://www.cuug.ab.ca/~cartera ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: More Sport Aviation Stuff From: Donald Reid Date: Wed, 23 Jun 1999 21:21:07 -0400 X-Message-Number: 7 I have just loaded up the latest (and probably last) set of KR articles from Sport Aviation. Go to http://users.erols.com/donreid/kr_SA.htm The newest four are at the bottom. I have been searching though the issues and I have included some miscellaneous photos and short write-ups that I had missed the first time.
