Also assuming you stretch the existing wing planform, that would require approximately a 5 ft. span increase. With simple flaps at 30 degrees, you should be able to stall at 45 mph. I doubt there are plans available for this mod. My question is: Why are you doing this? Goodmorning all,  I am new to the KRNet and was hoping that I could start off by asking for your experience with an issue I have.  Firstly, I just purchased a KR-2 in progress and was looking for a set of complete plans for same...the person I bought it from has lost theirs.  Secondly, I want to modify the wings to allow for a lesser stall speed to be able to register it in Canada as an Ultralight, Advanced class..for this I need to bring the stall speed to 45 MPH or less from it's current 52 MPH. My Qestion is this: Are their plans available that will acomplish this or has anyone out there had success doing someting similar.

I fly a standard lenth "2", and don"t jump around any more than most of the people that fly spam cans. Once you get used to flying it, you will be fine. If anything, it will make you a better pilot because you can't be sleeping when flying. Jerry went from an Areonca Chief to a "2" and was fine. THINK POSITIVE. While out flying today, I picked up about 1/8 inch of Rime ice. The "2" flew as if none was on it. Airspeed never dropped off, trim did not change. The only place the ice came off before I landed was the canopy [due to cockpit heat]. Leading edges of the wings, tail, both com ants and nav ant, front of cowl, and spinner. The reason for passing this info on is due to some of the comments made about Ken Rand's plane going down. Lack of an IFR instruments and rating is most likely the cause, not the ice reported. I've been iced up more times than a little bit [flew freight and corp.], and if you don't have the rating and experience, your dead meat. Just wanted to share this with you. This was the first time I got my "2" iced up. And I dought it will be the last [you have to know when to quit]. Drawing 19 is clear for the aft spar fittings but I don't find any reference to the front mai spar. My current configuration is one bolt though the top and one through the bottom.
