I don't think I had enough pressure in them to keep the split rim from working, therefore the flats. Then changed to to the Lamb tire 11.400-5, 8 ply, 60 psi, never had a problem after that. AS&S has them in their cat. This is what they say, "This tire fills the gap between the 500-5 aircraft tire and the 3.40-5 industrial tire. Looks like a scaled down 500-5. Fits VariEze, KR's and most experimentals using 5" wheels". Personally if your not looking at a full size aircraft tire, this is the one! No heat problems, and worked OK for the weight and balance. Cessna has a problem with keeping water in the batteries of the airplanes where they are mounted on the firewall (engine side). The older models had the battery in the aft portion of the fuselage, no problems. Piper also mounts the battery aft of the firewall. Depending on the model, it could be under the seat, or in the baggage compartment, or aft of that. Bottom line is, if it is under the cowling, it will have a much shorter life. I have a fuel tank that came out of a 67vw that I was using to size up the forward fuselage area. If I bought a new one, and welded over a hole or two on the top. It looks as if it would make a good gas tank. These tanks are cheap, and a little over 10 gallons.
