  Hello netters

I just finished the conversion from retractable to tri gear and have two =
hours taxi test. My kr needs only seat and wheel pads.I have installed a =
vw 2180 from grate plains and 52x50 prop.My plane weighs 695 lb static =
rpm is 2950, total pull at these 205 lb. It winkles out of the runway at =
57 miles and needs 1000 feet about.
When I will fly it I will sent all performance to the list.Next days I =
scan some pictures you see my <<girl>>.

  I have a KR 2 it was certified to fly in 1984 and licenced.  But the =
owner chickened out and taxied it only.  It has been stored in a hanger =
since than.  It need a paint job,some miner surface repairs.  It has all =

pic any smaller. I live in the Panhandle of OK Between Guynon and Boise =

Rodolfo; Carefull here! I was in the same boat. You not only need a new
manual but you need the revised plans (drawings). The fuselage is longer,
the firewall has some more reinforcing and most importantly the wing length,
shape and spar are somewhat different. I really suggest you contact Rand
Robinson to obtain a new set of drawings. I built my spars according to KR2
plans then found out they are not the same as the 2S. Also you may wish to
incorperate the new airfoil. (See Mark Langford.) If no aircraft was built
using your KR2 plans RR will re register your plans and issue a new set of
drawings for about $100 US. Contact me if this is a problem for you. Via con

Frank Ross is right.Those are wing tip tanks on ZS-UKU.When Rand =
Robinson (S.A.) were still operating here wing tip tanks were a popular =
option in kits supplied.Some of these aircraft operated from fields =
4000/5000 ft above sea level.Turbocharging was also popular.I cannot =
recall any complaints about wing tip tanks.My KR 2 s should be completed =
shortly.I use a Honda 750 cc motorcycle electronic ignition working off =
the VW flywheel ,also popular here.Motorcycle hydraulic brakes are also =
used.

 N4DD made one circut today after 2 years 8 months of nose job. Only made
one circut but at 95 deg.F 110 MPH it has a solid 2000 Ft./Min. climb 140
