Your web site is not only cutting edge. It's bleeding edge... it uses such cool techniques. BTW... is the vfSpotLight.class available anywhere. Besides the menu, that is my fav... One note on the down side id I may... is that "if you want your company site to be found on the web" the search engine spiders will rank this site very poorly because it is full of gadgets and not the text they like to index their databases on. So if you want to be listed on the web and found, submit exclusively to directories only like (Yahoo, LookSmart and Open Directory) of course Yahoo being the most important. Until search engines can read Flash, Java and Image text... you still need good old fashion Titles, description and keyword meta tags and content text. If you want help with search engine positioning techniques, send me an email. For those who distain this gibberish ...I apologize. It's just that this fellow builders site is primarily a commercial site. Very cool site Ron...and where do I get that vfSpotLight.class Rick Hubka rick@hubka.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Eason" To: "krnet" Sent: Sunday, July 01, 2001 1:35 PM Subject: KR> Updated web pages We have updated my business/Kr2 web site and you may find some other things of interest www.jrl-engineering.com look under 'My Hanger' for the KR2 photo's, it may take a while to upload. After lunch I fueled up my KR. Checked for leaks and started up the engine for the first time. All that scratch built foam, glass, wood and metal parts came alive. I heard it speak to me and I felt a vibrating quiver of something similar to a heart beat. With one magneto off and the mixture rich she sounds like a Harley. I couldn't resist. I untied the tail wheel and made two laps around the hangar. Taxi testing is now under way. Tomorrow I figure out why my right angle drive is trying to turn the tachometer backwards. There are many little things to do yet. But! Today was a good day. Sounds as if you are getting real close and had a great weekend. I too was planning on getting a lot done on the tail feathers of my 2S this weekend, but my 2 1/2 year old son decided to poke me in the left eye ( I think he thought it would be funny) with a very sharp fingernail early Saturday morning. This caused me to spend 3 hours in the emergency room with a cut Cornea. Let me tell you that is a very painful place to get cut. Ruined my weekend as the pain continued and the eye swelled shut. It is better tonight except the vision is very blurred and it feels as if I have sand in my eye. Hopefully, I can get back on my bird soon as I envy those of you who are so close to flying. Anyway, great news and thanks for the motivation. Mark Jones WA7YXF@aol.com wrote: > Sunday, July 1 Got up early and flew my Cessna 172. After lunch > I fueled up my KR. Now you can feel her heart beat and you will feel and hear it many times again. Now you know why you spent those many hours of tender loving care to give her shape, and she has some real nice curves, so treat her like a lady! Excellent article by Mark Langford and great pictures of Pete Rafferty's KR-2. Don't miss the small, but very important picture of Bill Gaudlip's KR-2 on page 98. Bill made a very nice video on the building of his plane. The video was shown at the KR Banquet. Bill is a KRnet member and is still trying to get the time flown off his plane. It is one of the best examples of the KR-2 tri-gear you will see. Congratulations, Bill. ===== Frank Ross, San Antonio, TX, __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
