It is cast material that contains quite a bit of water that turns to steam bubbles when you heat it. So you can either stick to plexiglass OR bake the Lexan at low temperature for 20 hours or so to get the water out OR you can stop trying to form it at all and just wrap the windshield without heating. That works great with Lexan, by the way. You can even bend it in a sheet metal brake! Can make small removeable inspection ports, curved windshields, or complete canopies. If nothing else, it is a very good read. ===== Frank Ross, San Antonio, TX, __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make a great connection at Yahoo! Seemed to me you can get away with a thinner sheet of lexan over plexi so my thinking was it was lighter and easier to work with. I scratched mine but it buffed right out. I never did a fuel test on it but I understand it will craze. If I were to do it again I would just buy a Dragonfly canopy. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
