I have contacted Aircraft Spruce Australia Lloyd Sheppard, he has never = heard of it. My mouldered KR2 ribs are made from it and I need some for the spar = extension. Message-ID: <20020111.020913.-499561.0.viscan@juno.com> Phil, I just went thru the write up instructions for the Dan Diehl wing skins and the video. Both places mention Plyfoam used for the ribs but doesn't say what it is. Dan said he doesn't use the E-mail system much. Maybe someone in OK could contact Dan and E-mail you the information. I talked to him on the phone, yesterday, but that would be a costly call from Australia. BTW, are you really in Australia ? The E-mail time indicates you are 11 hrs ahead of Greenwich. Message-ID: <004101c19aa3$5febf310$5f0ca58c@mlangford> Plyfoam is just some kind of foam (probably 2 or 4 lb/cu foot Lastofoam, but I'm just guessing) with glass laid up on both sides in a sandwich. Nothing special. You can make it yourself over night using the usual KR composite practices. Plyfoam is what I made my fuel tank out of (see http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/kft.html ), and it's just not a big deal. To make it, lay out some foam, squeegee runny micro onto it, layup some glass on it (ever how many layers you want, but you'd be amazed with what just one layer per side will do for you), squeegee into contact, and let it cure. Come back tomorrow and do the other side and you're done. As far as I know, there is no such thing as official "Plyfoam", it's just a nickname...
