I suspect it has been = salvaged from a production aircraft, because it has a neat groove on the = trailing edge to support the hydraulic hoses. Anyway, I wanted to drill = two tiny holes in each leg, in order to clamp some brackets to hold the = hydraulic hoses against the groove. Guess what? Could not drill through = it. My best HSS drill bits would not even bite! I don't know what this = is made of, but it sure is impresive!. Now I know that the entire = airframe will break way before these gear legs! Anyway, I give up. I will use electrical cable ties instead. Less = elegant, but lighter and easier to make. Guess what? Could not drill through it. >Serge Vidal ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Serge, Try taking a small piece of light weight alum or similar material and bend a radius that matches the thickness of your gear leg. (.010 or .015 material would probably work.) Try bonding it as hold down brackets to the leg with "J.B. Weld" or similar 4 minute epoxy. Might look better than a plastic tie. Or if the gear leg is already groved, bond some small sections of alum tubing in the grove to run the brake line through. Yep, I've said this before, but if I could do it again, I'd put the template right up next to the fuselage, finish the stub wing right up to the edge of the fuselage, and just wipe a micro fillet into the joint with a rounded over paint stick. That would take about 5 minutes, as opposed to 5 weeks... I don't know if it works but may be it's worth = a try. Any of you email guys have any advice? Ron Sent: Wednesday, December 18, 2002 4:11 PM Subject: e-mail addresses - PLEASE READ e-mail addresses - PLEASE READ HOW TO PROTECT YOUR ADDRESS BOOK! I learned a computer trick today that's really ingenious in its simplicity. As you may know, when/if a worm virus gets into your computer it heads straight for your email address book, and sends itself to everyone in there, thus infecting all your friends and associates. This trick won't keep the virus from getting into your computer, but it will stop it from using your address book to spread further, and it will alert you to the fact, that the worm has gotten into your system. Here's what you do: first, open your address book and click on "new contact," just as you would do if you were adding a new friend to your list of email addresses. In the window where you would type your friend's first name, type in AAAAAAA. Same in space labeled screen name. Now, here's what you've done and why it works: The "name" AAAAAAA will be placed at the top of your address book as entry #1. This will be where the worm will start in an effort to send itself to all = your friends. But, when it tries to send itself to AAAAAAA, it will be undeliverable because of the phony email address you entered. If the first attempt fails (which it will because of the phony address), the worm goes no further and your friends will not be infected. Here's the second great advantage of this method: If an email cannot be delivered, you will be notified of this in your In Box almost immediately. Hence, if you ever get an email telling you that an email addressed to A could not be delivered, you know right away that = you have the worm virus in your system.  HOW TO PROTECT YOUR ADDRESS BOOK!

I learned a computer trick today that's really ingenious in its
simplicity. As you may know, when/if a worm virus gets into your
computer it heads straight for your email address book, and sends
itself to everyone in there, thus infecting all your friends and
associates.

This trick won't keep the virus from getting into your computer, but
it will stop it from using your address book to spread further, and
it will alert you to the fact, that the worm has gotten into your
system.

Here's what you do: first, open your address book and click on "new
contact," just as you would do if you were adding a new friend to
your list of email addresses.

In the window where you would type your friend's first name, type in
AAAAAAA. Same in space labeled screen name.

Now, here's what you've done and why it works: The "name" AAAAAAA
will be placed at the top of your address book as entry #1. This
will be where the worm will start in an effort to send itself to all your
friends.

But, when it tries to send itself to AAAAAAA, it will be
undeliverable because of the phony email address you entered. If the
first attempt fails (which it will because of the phony address),
the worm goes no further and your friends will not be infected.

Here's the second great advantage of this method: If an email cannot
be delivered, you will be notified of this in your In Box almost
immediately. Hence, if you ever get an email telling you that an
email addressed to A could not be delivered, you know right away that you
have the worm virus in your system. You can then take steps to get rid of
it!

This trick won't keep the virus from= getting into your computer, but
it will stop it from using your addre= ss book to spread further, and
it will alert you to the fact, that the= worm has gotten into your
system.

Here's what you do: first, o= pen your address book and click on "new
contact," just as you would do= if you were adding a new friend to
your list of email addresses.
<= BR>In the window where you would type your friend's first name, type inAAAAAAA. Same in space labeled screen name.

Now, here's what you= 've done and why it works: The "name" AAAAAAA
will be placed at the to= p of your address book as entry #1. This
will be where the worm will s= tart in an effort to send itself to all your
friends.

But, when= it tries to send itself to AAAAAAA, it will be
undeliverable because = of the phony email address you entered. If the
first attempt fails (wh= ich it will because of the phony address),
the worm goes no further an= d your friends will not be infected.

Here's the second great advan= tage of this method: If an email cannot
be delivered, you will be noti= fied of this in your In Box almost
immediately. Hence, if you ever get= an email telling you that an
email addressed to A could not be delive= red, you know right away that you
have the worm virus in your system. = You can then take steps to get rid of
it!
