I have what is potentially a nice Heath built KR2. It is "The Little Beast" and it was built by Dan Heath, who is a very good builder. I have made some improvements on the engine, which is a VW 1915. It has duel ignition and duel plugs. I have converted it to a single place because of my size, 6' 2" 240 lbs. While pulling the KR2 home on my open trailer, the canopy came open, not a design flaw, but rather a memory flaw. The reason I was pulling her home was due to the fact that I had knocked the tail-wheel section out of her. While I replaced the tail section, I found I really had no talent for working with composits, and so I am giving up, frustrated because I love the plane, but also frustrated because I have discovered a medical condition which could put my flying on hold until the sport pilot license is available. Even if I get the sport pilot's license, I will, by definition, be unqualified to fly this wonderfully responsive and quick little beauty. The "Little Beast" is capable of a nice 140+ mph cruise. I am selling it without annual, and as a non flying airplane. You will be required to sign an "assumption of all risk statement" with a notary's seal. Rebuild the canopy (I have stuff for that), annual her, and make sure you are confident in the tail-wheel block insert, (you may want to go through that part of it.) and you will have saved hundreds of hours of construction and saved thousands of dollars for the cost of building one. I feel a skilled composit craftsman, who would like to fly soon, would be interested at $5500.00 It is a tail dragger. If interested please respond to me personally at n886kr@netscape.net, and please do not take up the krnet@mylist.etc. with questions. I will take some digital pictures if this blast of May storms ever stops and provide them to you upon request via e-mail, I do not have a web-site. I will not answer questions that are not directed to me specifically.
