If you are building a fuel tank, the many layers of dense resin should protect the foam. In the latest Custom Planes magazine there is an article that says if you get a quote from an agent, you might be in " THE COMPUTER" as that agents client and no other agents can serve you and that quote might be cast in stone unless you fill out a B.O.R. ( Broker Of Record letter). this would tell tell the underwriters to allow the new agent to work for you. I recomend anyone getting close to purchasing insurance to read this. There's a lot of information in here and the authur , Scott Smith, is an agent and says that He was appionted by Jeannette Rand as the preferred agent for the KR2.
