Yes it is. However, there must have been a defect in a couple of spots of my primer, because when I peeled off the tape on one small and one sort of long spot, the paint and primer under it came off with the tape, you can see one of them in the pics. Inevitably you're bound to bump into the table, which will cause it to move, which could cause a disaster if you're in the middle of laying out the fuse or spars. After you have set the table square and level, mix up some regular Bondo and put a "Dollup" of Bondo on all of the feet where they meet the floor. Mix-up enough to completely cover each foot, and adjuster (about the size of your fist). The table will not move if you bump into it. When you are ready to remove the table after your boat and spars are complete, simply give each foot a sharp rap with a hammer to break it loose from the concrete floor. Hope this helps & happy building! Ron Smith wrote: Peter Waijenberg wrote: Peter wrote: I am only in the stage of building my worktable so still a long way to go. R.S.: Hi Peter! One of them is from my home town Port Elizabeth and the other guy from Cape Town. I got the news yesterday that one of them, Honeyball from here went down in a lake in China after flying into some bad weather. Information is sketchy at best but it would appear that they asked for permission to land at the nearest airport and were denied. They climbed to 11000' and it is suspected that the severe conditions caused a fatal structural failure. After landing at the next airport his partner alerted the authorities and a search party was launched. Honeyball's body was found in the lake after a search of the area. On behalf of the KR.net I would like to extend my and our condolences to the friends and family of a brave man, and from what I have heard, an excellent pilot. It is the efforts and achievements of people like him that motivate people like me to keep on building and realise my dream of flying my own plane some day. I love that area around the windows, with the silver/white combination. I finally managed to drag myself off the couch again, made a new oil cooler duct, and installed it permanently a few minutes ago. There's a picture at http://home.hiwaay.net/~langford/corvair/oil_system/new_cooler_duct.jpg . There's a stock Corvair folded fin cooler in there with AN-6 fittings welded onto the cooler. I'm not real wild about the 90 degree entry angle, or the lack of a "suction" duct at the bottom, but since it's going to be getting air from one of the two air inlets at the front of the cowling, I think it'll be enough. I guess we'll find out. More details later, when I'll do a "real" web page for the oil system. Next, an air filter of some sort... Six years later, I took it to the airport and 3 gear failures and about 3 years later, it became an airplane. I decided then, unless it is flying, it is NO complete. And, thanks for the web site.
