It was something like is listed in FAR 23, but was specific to experimentals. Can someone point me in the correct direction on where to find this. The 10 has a parallel encoder. If you are using it with an older transponder that will only work with a parallel encoder that might be what you are referring to. Obviously that is a moot point if you have no transponder or already have an encoder with it. Anyway, I would suggest temporarily subscribing to the RV and avionics lists on the Matronics web site and asking on those groups. There are tons of people there that have the Dynons. I have seen several messages from people thinking of upgrading from the 10 to the 10A so I assume that you could find someone that would be happy to sell you the older 10 so they could buy a 10A. I have been advised to buy a Dynon 10 because a Dynon 10A will require a separate encoder, but the Dynon 10 will not. This being the case, I am inquiring if there are any Dynon 10 that may be for sale. ( I know the Dynon 10 is no longer in production).
